Christmas Day!!

 I feel like we prepare for this day forever and it is over so quickly! I am always the first one up on Christmas morning and was able to enjoy a few minutes of quiet enjoying the beautiful sunrise.

 They finally woke up around 7:20 and were actually happy to pose for me on the steps.

 The boys ran ahead when I said it was okay

 but stopped immediately when their sister cried about being left on the stairs. DuBose went back for her and carried her into the room.

 She quickly lost the tears when she saw that kitchen!!

 The boys loved the Bat Castle!

 And they were excited to find a Sprite in their stocking!

 Then the boys helped Ellie go through her stocking which was super sweet.

 This was one happy Chicken :)

 After stockings, they started tearing into their presents under the tree! 

 We had a really good morning together at home and everyone was happy about their gifts.

We got dressed and headed to Mom and Dad's for breakfast and gift-giving.

 The boys entertained Charlotte for a minute

 DuBose loved his new tool box complete with real tools and nails.

 And Ellie loved on Molly

and then did a little dancing in the front yard

 while the boys helped Granddaddy put together a bird house (which has already been placed in a field at Briar Creek!)


We had a great day really enjoying our time together and with our family. The kids were happy all day and grateful for their gifts. And they had fun giving their gifts as well. These Christmas mornings with young children are going to be some of the most magical of my life.
