Happy Birthday, Ellie!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELLIE!!

Our girl turns 12 today! 

Not sure where a dozen years have gone, but here we are.

Ellie, you are one of the most kind, happy, and sincere people I know. You have such a heart for others and watching you be a friend, sibling, granddaughter, niece, and daughter to those you love is truly a blessing to me. I certainly don't take any credit for your attitude and sunny disposition, but definitely appreciate the fact that God gave you to me to raise and to nurture that sweetness. I know the teenage years are coming, but snarky, rude teenage behavior just seems impossible from you. Time will tell but I have a feeling that we are going to be just fine as we navigate those years. 

When I think of you, I often think JOY. And for me JOY = Jesus, Others, Yourself and that's exactly how I would describe you. You are a light for Jesus, shining so very brightly and you always think of others before yourself. Your joyfulness comes even in the darkness which is amazing to witness.  I couldn't be more proud of you and pray that this joyful spirit of yours will last your whole life. Nothing would make me happier than to watch you live a life full of JOY!

I am so very proud of you and can't wait to watch what the next year holds for you. I love you and wish you the very happiest of birthdays, my sweet girl!
