Pawleys Island 2021
We had such a great time with the Eglestons in Pawley's Island this year! We had a new house that we were hoping would fit us all a little bit better. It was a 4 bedroom house on the creek and one row back from the beach so the perfect location. We spent a lot of time in the creek, on the beach and in the boat.
Anne and the kids were there the whole week with Brian coming in mid-week. Charles and Terry (DuBose’s aunt and uncle) also joined us for a day and Emily (DuBose’s cousin who lives in CA but was staying at Nana's house while we were in PI) and her family joined us for another day. It was great to spend some time with them all.
We did have dinner at the Rustic Table with the Lancasters and the Andrews which was so fun too.
It was a beautiful week!
Nana's famous brown rice is Mills’ favorite!
Trying to outrun the rain in Winyah Bay
Paddling with the kids was my favorite activity because it was uninterrupted time with each of them to talk and explore. I need to be better about making this happen at home.
We saw river otters right in front of our dock!
The boys went fishing with Gregg one day.
Anne and Emily's kids after a long day on the beach.
This is the sandbar in the creek in front of the house. We had our own little beach for a few hours :)

Summer reading
And, of course, we had a little family photo shoot on the dock.
Such a great week that we always look forward to each year. Already ready for Pawleys 2022! Thank you, Nana and Granddad for making this week happen!
